Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions seeks an Instructor to deliver structured life-skills, work-readiness, literacy, and financial empowerment workshops to WeCARE participants, maintaining a professional, supportive learning environment. You will collaborate with VRS staff to support participant skill development and progression toward employment.

Responsibilities include documenting client interactions, planning contextualized trainings, guiding job readiness and employer engagement, and evaluating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, social services or related field required.
• 3-5 years of experience in training, education or career development in workforce development preferred.
• Ability to be patient and sensitive to individuals with disabilities.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel).
• Experience in a fast-paced, team environment that is performance driven.
• Experience with publicly-funded programs (TANF preferred).
• Bilingual or multilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction and workshops in an organized, professional, and engaging manner.
• Document client interactions and provide updates as needed.
• Facilitate literacy workshops that support job readiness and job search strategies.
• Plan, organize, and deliver training activities compliant with program requirements.
• Assist clients in identifying employers and skill-building opportunities.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and suggest content revisions.
• Educate participants on cash assistance benefits, budgeting, and transitioning to self-sufficiency.
• Apply motivational techniques to improve individual success and program outcomes.
• Coordinate with vocational rehabilitation and employment services staff as needed.
• Work with job development staff to identify job-ready individuals for opportunities.
• Ensure attendance and engagement are accurately recorded.
