You will collaborate with VRS staff to support participant skill development, document interactions, and guide job-ready individuals toward employment or training pathways. The role emphasizes program compliance and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required and 3-5 years of experience in training, education or career development.
  • Patience and sensitivity to individuals with disabilities.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience with publicly-funded programs; TANF experience preferable.
  • Ability to use various electronic systems to carry out duties.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver instruction and workshops in an organized, professional, and engaging manner.
  • Document client interactions, case notes, and provide updates as needed.
  • Facilitate literacy workshops that support job readiness and job search strategies.
  • Discuss sector-specific requirements and employer expectations with clients.
  • Plan, organize, and deliver training activities adhering to program requirements.
  • Assist clients in identifying employers and skill-building opportunities aligned with goals.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and suggest revisions to content as needed.
  • Educate participants on cash assistance benefits, budgeting, and transitioning to self-sufficiency.
  • Apply motivational techniques to increase success and meet program outcomes.
  • Collaborate with vocational rehabilitation and employment services staff on curriculum needs.
  • Work with job development staff to identify job-ready individuals for employment.
  • Assist with timekeeping and recording attendance and engagement accurately.
  • Liaise with outreach and timekeeping staff to account for missed appointments timely.

Apply motivational techniques to increaseprobabilityof individual success as well as meeting program outcomes.

Consult with vocational rehabilitation and employment services staffregardingcurriculum and training needs.

Work with job development staff in identifying job-ready individuals for employment opportunities.

Assistwith timekeeping by ensuring that all on-site and virtual attendance and engagementisaccurately recorded.

Liaise with outreach and timekeeping staff to ensure that all missed appointments are properly accounted forin a timely mannerand that all excused absences are accurately recorded.

Qualifications
  • ABachelor's degree ineducation,socialservicesor related field from an accredited institutionrequiredand3-5 years of experience in training, education or career development in the workforce development field career counseling or a combination of relevant course work or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Ability to be patient and sensitive to individuals with disabilities

Highly organized and detail-oriented

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel

Experience in a fast-paced, team environment that is performance driven

Exceptional customer service and engagement skills; prefer training or experience in motivational interviewing and care management techniques

Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail

Experience withpublicly-fundedprograms; TANF experience preferable

Experience in assessing the need for and making reasonable accommodations for customers

Knowledge of laws and regulatory requirements related to program responsibilities

Ability to use various electronic systems to carry out duties and responsibilities

Bilingual or multilingual preferred
