Job summary

Lane Education Service District invites applications for an Instructional Assistant in the Life Skills Program. This 3.5-hour daily position (0.4375 FTE) is classified, non-exempt, and offers benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid leaves and holidays, and PERS.

You will work under a licensed teacher to support students with moderate to severe disabilities, assisting with daily living, communication, and social skills, while implementing individualized plans and data collection.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and school staff.
• Ability to follow teacher direction, including written instructional and behavior support plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher with planning and implementing instructional activities.
• Implement instructional strategies to support student development and independence.
• Support students in developing functional, communication, social, and independent living skills.
• Prepare instructional materials and other resources; collect student data.
• Communicate with the teacher regarding student progress and assessments.
