Job summary

Lane Education Service District is seeking an Instructional Assistant for the Life Skills Program on a part-time basis. This role provides instructional, behavioral, and daily living support to students with moderate to severe disabilities under a licensed teacher, with a 3.5 hour daily schedule and 0.4375 FTE.

The position involves assisting with planning, data collection, and collaboration with staff while maintaining student safety and dignity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and school staff.
• Ability to follow teacher directions, including written instructional and behavior support plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher with planning and implementing instructional activities.
• Support student skill development, independence, and participation.
• Provide personal care and daily living supports as needed.
• Collect student data and communicate progress to the teacher.
• Follow district policies and classroom procedures.
