Job summary

Amistad Elementary School in Kennewick, Washington is seeking a Para/SS/LifeSkills Classroom paraeducator to support students with special needs in the life skills setting and other school activities.

Hours are 6.5 per day, 180 days per year, with a salary of $23.15 to $26.65 per hour plus up to $0.60 extra per hour based on college credits earned. This position requires working closely with teachers, other staff, and students in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have an AA degree OR 72 quarter college credits OR 48 semester college credits OR a passing ETS score.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to life skills student(s) under the supervision of classroom teacher(s).
• Take accurate data and maintain required paperwork for state/district compliance.
• Assist in supervision of students during recess and transitions; monitor safety and behavior.
