Qualifications

• Proof of High School diploma, or equivalent.
• AA Degree or 72 college credits.
• Clear FBI and Washington State Patrol background checks.
• Washington Sexual Misconduct clearance.
• Completion of I-9 form.
• Must meet age requirements to drive district vehicles.
• 14 hours of Fundamental Course of Study training.

Responsibilities

• Assist the special education teacher in program organization and materials.
• Provide instruction to students with special needs under supervision.
• Maintain safety and well-being of students.
• Record progress on daily task sheets and forms.
• Teach using multiple methodologies and assess progress.
• Follow behavior plans to support student success.
• Attend to personal care of students as needed.
• Uphold district rules and supervise playground and lunchroom.
