Job summary

Flathead Industries Life Skills Center in Kalispell, MT seeks a dedicated Caregiver/Support Specialist to supervise and train consumers within the Day Supports program. The role emphasizes safety, daily activities, and community integration.

You will coordinate PSP records, participate in team meetings, and mentor DSP 2 staff while maintaining high-quality customer service and professional communications with families and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma, completion of occupationally specific training, and 6 months experience working with adults with developmental disabilities or similar field.
• Ability to pass criminal and other background checks.
• Valid Montana Driver's License and insurability for operation of company vehicles.
• Successfully complete Phase 1 and 2 of Flathead Industries Career Path Trainings.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with stakeholders, including staff, consumers, family members and community members.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional, effective, harmonious working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Supervise consumers at work sites or in the community.
• Maintain PSP paperwork and attend consumer PSP meetings.
• Train and mentor DSP 2 staff on PSP requirements.
• Ensure safety procedures and safe operation of vehicles.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation.
• Assist in daily activities and personal care as needed.
