Job summary

Flathead Industries in Kalispell, MT is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to empower individuals with developmental disabilities.

You will teach community living skills, promote independence, and support daily activities such as meals, budgeting, transportation, and recreation, while maintaining safety. The role includes varied shifts and weekend work, with on-site responsibilities in a group home setting.

Qualifications

• The position requires education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and completion of occupationally-specific training.
• Ability to pass a criminal and other background checks.
• Possession of a Montana Driver's license and maintain a good driving record to be covered by company vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Teach and demonstrate community living skills to consumers with developmental disabilities.
• Promote independence and help consumers maintain current skills.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with consumers, family, friends and outside professionals.
• Participate in routine operations of the facility, including meal preparation, meal planning, budgeting, cleaning, transportation and recreational opportunities.
• Provide safety training to all consumers.

Job Summary:

Schedule:

• 4 to 5 day work week
• 8 to 10 hour shifts
• Weekend availability
• Variety of shifts
