Job summary

Accenture’s Salesforce Life Sciences practice seeks a Salesforce Life Sciences Functional Architect to lead end-to-end functional design within a broader program, collaborating with client business owners and product owners, guiding analysts, and partnering with technical leads to delivery.

You will translate business processes into platform solutions, run requirements sessions, and support testing, data migration and deployment while travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of Salesforce experience in a functional design, business analysis or solution consulting capacity.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience delivering Salesforce solutions for Life Sciences clients or another regulated industry.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with Salesforce Life Sciences Patient services experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of Salesforce Life Sciences experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate's Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)

Responsibilities

• Own the functional solution design for an assigned workstream within a Salesforce Life Sciences program, within the overall architecture direction.
• Lead design workshops with client business and product owners, translating outcomes into user stories and technical designs.
• Configure and demonstrate Salesforce Life Sciences capabilities, building prototypes and running solution walkthroughs to validate design decisions.
• Make day-to-day design decisions within your domain, document trade-offs and rationale, and elevate cross-workstream decisions to the lead architect.
• Partner with technical leads to ensure designs are buildable and support estimation, sprint planning, backlog grooming and defect triage.
• Guide and review the work of functional analysts, configurators and offshore team members, providing coaching and quality oversight on deliverables.
• Contribute to architecture governance and design reviews by preparing materials and applying standards.
• Support testing, data migration, training and deployment activities for your workstream and drive user adoption post go-live.
• Contribute to proposals, demonstrations and estimates during pursuits and build reusable assets.
• Identify and raise design, scope and delivery risks within your workstream and work on mitigation with leadership.
• Travel may be required for this role with 25% to 100% travel depending on business needs.
