Job summary

BCD Meetings & Events in Germany (Düsseldorf, Frankfurt or remote) is seeking an Operations Manager dedicated to a Life Science client. You’ll keep projects on track, nurture client relationships, and lead a German-based team to deliver excellence.

This role blends strategic oversight with hands-on problem solving, overseeing client communications, driving account growth, and implementing best practices across operations.

Qualifications

• Strong meetings management operations and account management experience.
• Proven track record in team leadership and managing direct reports.
• Experience on Life Sciences clients.
• Demonstrated experience in client management and achieving financial performance targets.
• Experience in reviewing and improving operational processes and policies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• German and English proficiency in both oral and written communication.
• Travel up to 25% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop direct reports in Germany to enhance productivity through recruitment, training, and evaluations.
• Oversee client communication, follow-ups, and deliverables to maintain relationships and financial success.
• Foster account growth through strategic outreach, meetings, and industry events.
• Provide recommendations and liaise among accounts, regions, and project teams.
• Coordinate resources for successful implementation of new processes and technologies.
• Define and implement best practices across operational areas related to projects.
