Job summary

ESFM, the corporate facilities management division of Compass Group USA, seeks a Business Unit Manager for a regulated life sciences campus to oversee Office Services, Shipping & Receiving, Hazardous Materials Shipping, Regulated Logistics, Mailroom Operations, Housekeeping, Workplace Services, Pest Control, and Vendor Management programs.

The role ensures services are delivered safely, compliantly, and audit-ready.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Operations, Logistics, Facilities Management, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 7-10 years of leadership experience within life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading regulated shipping, hazardous materials transportation, logistics operations, and business support services.
• Strong experience managing Integrated Pest Management programs and vendor compliance.
• Proven success managing large teams, vendor partnerships, and compliance-driven operations.
• Strong understanding of GMP, GxP, Quality Systems, audit readiness, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing P&L, budgets, labor planning, and financial performance.
• Excellent verbal communication, presentation, relationship-building, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, operational reporting systems, and quality management tools.
