Job summary

CBRE Facilities is seeking a Senior Manager to lead hard and soft services for a Life Sciences flagship HQ site in Greensboro, NC. This onsite role requires 5–8 years of facilities leadership, staff development, and strong budgeting skills.

You will manage capital projects, vendor relationships, and safety procedures while coordinating cross-functional teams to meet operational targets and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; combination of experience and education considered in lieu of degree.
• Facility Management certification preferred.
• Experience leading facilities operations in Life Sciences or regulated industries.
• Ability to recruit, train, coach, and evaluate staff; manage performance and retention.
• Ability to communicate complex information and set performance expectations.
• Strong leadership to motivate teams across multiple disciplines.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent organizational skills and analytical mindset.
• Ability to calculate financial figures and support budgets.

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision to employees; track training and development; conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
• Coordinate and manage daily team activities; set work schedules and deadlines.
• Oversee facility repairs and maintenance with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
• Maintain positive client relationships and resolve facility issues.
• Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
• Perform facility inspections and implement operational improvements.
• Create EH&S procedures for facilities.
• Develop vendor relationships and oversee invoicing and PO approvals.
• Apply cross-functional knowledge to achieve department objectives.
• Lead by example in CBRE RISE values and drive process improvements.
• Identify and solve complex technical and operational problems.
• Understand broader departmental impact.
