Job summary

Renovo Solutions in San Diego is seeking a Life Sciences Engineer I to perform scheduled maintenance and repair of research and manufacturing equipment at pharmaceutical facilities.

This includes preventative maintenance, calibration, and validation of equipment ranging from simple devices such as water purification, scales/ balances, centrifuges, freezers/LN2 storage units/refrigerators, incubators, and humidity chambers.

Qualifications

• Laboratory, electronic, mechanical technician experience required.
• Experience with life science lab equipment preferred.
• Understanding of metrology/calibration preferred.
• Experience in a GxP regulated environment preferred.
• MS Office proficiency (MS Word, MS Excel)
• High level attention to detail.
• Self-directed / efficient with time management.
• Basic hands-on mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs planned maintenance, repairs, and other verification/qualification services on laboratory multi-vendor instruments.
• Provides high level of customer service throughout the maintenance and repair cycle.
• Communicates with equipment end users regularly to discuss work performed and results.
• Engages with customers and provides basic instrument services in a professional and timely manner.
• Diagnoses errors or technical problems and determines proper solutions.
• Collaborates with internal partners to resolve customer issues and improve processes.
• Prepares accurate service reports, expense reports and other administrative tasks.
