Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services in San Diego is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to lead calibration, metrology, and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation in regulated environments.

You will develop SOPs, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor field staff while working across pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device settings. Strong analytical and communication skills required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Metrology, or a related technical discipline.
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in calibration, metrology, equipment maintenance, qualification, validation, or lab instrumentation.
• Experience as a Field Service Engineer or related senior technical role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and controlled-environment equipment.
• Develop and maintain calibration methodologies, qualification protocols and SOPs to support regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and train field service personnel, serve as escalation point for complex issues.
• Support IQ/OQ/PQ activities and ensure traceability to standards and regulatory expectations.
