Job summary

IPS is seeking a dedicated Superintendent for a job site near Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. You will lead specific trades, manage safety and schedule adherence, and support project budgets and change control activities in life sciences construction.

Travel to client sites and multiple shifts, including weekends, may be required. Strong collaboration with IPS Commissioning/Validation and project teams is essential to ensure regulatory compliance and successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or in a construction field leadership role delivering pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, mission critical, semiconductor, or other complex technical construction projects
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent technical degree or trades experience

Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring subcontractor and vendor work is completed safely and in compliance with contract documents and project schedule.
• Collect and assemble on-site testing reports, inspection reports, and close-out documentation for IPS Commissioning/Validation team and client.
• Assumes primary responsibility for activities associated with specific trades on assigned construction sites.
• Ensure achievement of corporate goals for assigned projects.
• Assist with development and maintenance of project schedules, including durations and sequencing logic.
• Develop working knowledge of the project budget and identify exceptions throughout execution.
• Support the Project Director and Project Manager in change control documentation and related financial documentation.
• Participate in constructability reviews of design documents.
• Assist with procurement and coordination of all required extra-corporate project resources.
• Evaluate the legitimacy of the request in terms of contractual requirements and cost estimate validity.
• Facilitate communication between subcontractors, vendors, and project personnel, and document communications.
• Help ensure submittals are distributed, reviewed, and stored to meet project and corporate requirements.
• Assist in ensuring compliance of project activities with legal and regulatory requirements.
