Job summary

IPS, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking a Construction Project Engineer for our Somerset, NJ office. This full-time onsite role supports project managers with execution plans, schedules, budgets, and subcontractor coordination at Ridgefield site as needed.

You will manage documentation, RFIs, and communications, assist with procurement and change management, and participate in safety and QA reviews. Travel to project sites is expected, with exposure to field and office environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Internship experience or 1-3 years of professional experience in Construction Project Delivery, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development and maintenance of execution plans, scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Manage documentation, submittals, RFIs, and communication among project stakeholders.
• Support procurement, contract administration, and change management processes.
• Participate in safety planning and quality assurance, including shop drawing reviews and design compliance.
• Track project costs, invoice preparation, and reporting.
• Maintain project documentation systems and assist with closeout deliverables and turnover packages.
• Contribute to marketing materials, proposals, and ongoing team coordination across departments.
