Job summary
OpenAI, through its Forward Deployed Engineering team, is seeking a Deployment Lead Life Sciences to translate business goals into technical delivery plans, own end-to-end deployments, and drive adoption across customer teams.
Based in New York with a hybrid schedule (3 days in office), the role requires relocation assistance and travel up to 50% as you partner with pharma and CROs to deploy AI capabilities from MVP to scale.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of customer-facing technical delivery leadership in Life Sciences.
- Experience leading large, complex customer engagements.
- Ability to operate in high-ambiguity environments and drive shipped AI systems.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration with product and research teams.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical delivery plan for multiple interdependent workstreams.
- Run day-to-day engineering execution across OpenAI FDE and customer teams.
- Embed with customer teams to land production deployments and drive adoption.
- Partner with Product and Research to land platform components on time.
- Codify solution patterns and evals to create reusable field signals.
- Own value cases and ROI with hypotheses, baselines, and KPIs.
- Shape engagement approach with Life Sciences customers.
