Job summary

OpenAI’s Forward Deployed Engineering team in New York City seeks a Deployment Lead for Financial Services. You will define how OpenAI delivers complex customer deployments, owning end-to-end delivery across multiple streams and embedding with clients to ensure adoption and measurable impact.

You will partner with product, research, and customer teams to map workflows, set milestones, and drive readiness. This is a hybrid NYC role with relocation support and up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of customer‑facing technical delivery leadership in financial services.
• Experience leading large, complex customer engagements with AI.
• Ability to operate in high-ambiguity environments and map customer workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical delivery plan for multiple interdependent work streams.
• Run day-to-day engineering execution across OpenAI FDE and customer teams.
• Embed with customer teams to land production deployments and drive adoption.
• Partner with Product and Research to land platform components on time.
• Codify solution patterns and field signals to improve product and models.
• Own ROI and KPIs; run pre-/post-deployment measurement and report to exec sponsors.
• Shape engagement with Financial Services customers.
