Job summary

Genesee Scientific is seeking an Account Manager to lead sales within a defined Bay Area territory. You will develop and maintain customer relationships, drive growth opportunities, and ensure market penetration and profitability while meeting sales forecasts.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a relevant science field and 3+ years in sales or lab settings. Proficiency with CRM tools and virtual presentations is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant science field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years sales or research laboratory industry, or lab experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with a proven ability to effectively deliver sales and marketing information that influences customer decision-making

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of territory to build and sustain strong customer relationships
• Manage pricing in territory to achieve financial targets
• Independently make decisions while leveraging resources to fulfill customer needs and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Monitor competitor and industry activity and stay updated on new products/services
• Maintain detailed activity logging in Salesforce for pipeline visibility
• Provide customers with updates on supply and pricing trends and offer consultative support
• Deliver updates on supply and pricing trends while assisting inventory planning
• Use Zoom/Teams for virtual demos and sales presentations to expand reach
