Job summary

RigUp seeks a seasoned leader to serve as the Northeast regional electrical department manager, guiding a cross-functional team of ~20 engineers and designers on multiple life science projects. The role focuses on staffing, client interfaces, and technically sound design across building electrical systems.

The position is hybrid, based in Conshohocken, PA three days a week, with responsibility for regional strategy, staffing plans, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams and client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• 15+ years of practical application of electrical engineering and design including design of building electrical systems and NEC codes
• PE license, highly preferred
• Experience with medium and low voltage power system design, large UPS/Generator systems, lighting, grounding, heat trace for life science facilities
• Experience leading a design/engineering team and driving professional development
• Experience with multi-discipline teams and client interfaces on life science facility designs
• Experience in preparing electrical design staffing estimates based on project scope

Responsibilities

• Lead Northeast regional electrical department for a team of ~20 engineers and designers
• Interface with clients to understand project scope and deliverables
• Conduct early feasibility and concept studies as part of a multidiscipline team
• Develop staffing plans and project estimates for prospective projects
• Lead department meetings to align strategies and staffing across the region
• Report to Electrical Engineering Department Director, Life Science North America, to align proposals and staffing
• Manage regional staffing needs and address strategic technical challenges
