Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies seeks an Electrical Engineering Manager in Conshohocken, PA for a direct hire. The role leads a regional electrical team, interfaces with clients, and guides early feasibility, staffing estimates, and multi-disciplinary life science projects.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in electrical design, NEC/NFPA experience, and a PE license. This hybrid role expects collaboration across departments and strong leadership to deliver complex electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 15+ years of practical application in electrical engineering and design, including building electrical systems and NFPA 70/NEC compliance.
• PE license, highly preferred.
• Experience with medium and low voltage power system design, large UPS/Generator systems, lighting, grounding, heat trace in life science facilities.
• Experience managing a team of design and engineering professionals.
• Experience working on multi-discipline teams with client technical representatives in life science facility designs.
• Experience in preparing electrical design staffing estimates based on project scope.

Responsibilities

• Function as Northeast regional electrical department manager for a team of ~20 engineers and designers across multiple projects.
• Hybrid position based in Conshohocken PA office 3 days a week.
• Interface with clients to understand project scope and deliverables.
• Complete early feasibility and concept studies as part of a multidisciplinary team to produce reports and cost estimates.
• Develop staffing plans and project estimates for prospective projects.
• Lead department meetings to communicate strategies and coordinate staffing regionally.
• Report to Electrical Engineering Department Director, Life Science North America, to align strategies and staffing.
• Actively manage regional staffing support needs and workforce planning.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• At least 15 years of practical application of Electrical engineering and design, including Design of building electrical systems and application of NFPA 70(NEC) and applicable local building specialty codes
• Professional Engineer (PE) license, highly preferred
• Experience with medium and low voltage power system design, large UPS/Generator system design, lighting system design, grounding system design and heat trace as part of a cross functional design team in a life science facility setting.
• Experience managing a team of design and engineering professionals, including monitoring work performance and driving professional development
• Experience working on multi-discipline teams, working closely with client technical representatives in the development of life science facility designs
• Experience in preparing electrical design staffing estimates based on project scope description and deliverables

Ideally, you'll also have:

• Master's Degree in Electrical Engineer, but not required
• Electrical Engineering experience designing life science campus facilities
• Proficient working knowledge of Revit software
• Extensive experience collaborating with Life Science client electrical professionals
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written?
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills??
• Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas?
