Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking a Construction Project Manager for the Life Science Market to join the team in our Lexington, KY office (also Charlotte, NC and Dallas, TX). This role leads complex life science projects from design through construction, coordinating trade partners, schedules, budgets, and safety programs to deliver state-of-the-art facilities.

The ideal candidate has eight+ years in construction management, a related degree, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years of experience in construction management.
• Preference for a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and company-provided software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate interrelating activities of trade partners, suppliers, vendors, design and engineering efforts.
• Monitor and report on the financial status of the project and manage subcontract and contract administration.
• Develop job progress schedules to ensure construction aligns with the plan.
• Negotiate contracts with trade partners and vendors to manage scope and risk.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for scope compliance.
• Prepare and present reports (monthly red files, schedules, billings, status reports).
• Ensure safety and quality programs are enforced on site.
