Job summary

Intel Corporation is seeking a Facilities Life Safety Systems Technician to safeguard Intel’s facilities and personnel. The role focuses on hands-on operation, troubleshooting, and design reviews of life safety systems, including fire alarms and HPM, with ongoing collaboration with manufacturers.

You will stay current with evolving codes and standards, support system integration, and help optimize performance while ensuring compliance and safety across Intel facilities in the Phoenix area.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or higher with 7–10 years of experience in life safety systems, or AA/AS with 5+ years, or a Bachelor's degree with 3+ years in life safety.
• Demonstrated expertise in fire alarms, and Hazardous Production Materials (HPM) and ancillary equipment.
• Knowledge of applicable regulations, codes, and standards related to life safety systems.
• Proficiency in system troubleshooting, design review, and operational support.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation, troubleshooting, and execution of life safety systems, including fire alarms and HPM.
• Conduct design reviews for fire alarms, HPM, and related components, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
• Collaborate with manufacturers to address system issues and oversee implementation and integration.
• Provide engineering support for the design and construction of life safety systems and recommend improvements for compliance and performance.
• Assist in optimizing and modifying life safety systems to accommodate building or occupancy changes.
• Maintain and update design standards and specifications for life safety systems.
• Stay current on regulations, codes, and standards to ensure alignment with best practices.
