Job summary

Vallen Distribution is seeking a Fire Protection Service Tech II - LSS to install, inspect, test, and maintain Life Safety Systems for established customers. You will conduct service calls, perform system tests, and troubleshoot while ensuring documentation is accurate for invoicing.

Candidate must have a High School diploma or GED, plus 2 fire-protection certifications, and be mechanically inclined with a valid driver’s license. Join a team that values safety, growth, and opportunity.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Minimum 2 certifications in a fire protection related field.
• WBS Construction 1-3 years of experience.
• RME-I certification if applicable.
• Mechanically inclined and able to read, write, and comprehend English.
• Maintain minimum productivity and drive safely; valid license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform service calls and ITM (inspect, test, maintain) life safety systems.
• Test and inspect life safety systems to prescribed standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair life safety equipment on-site.
• Install Life Safety Systems and associated components (fire extinguishers, fire alarm/detection, gas, foam, etc.).
• Prepare accurate worksheets and reports; ensure documentation is complete for invoicing.
• Assist with shipping/receiving and support warehouse as needed.
