Job summary

FSS Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented Fire Alarm Inspector to inspect, test, and maintain life safety systems, ensuring code compliance and client satisfaction.

You will document deficiencies, report results, and coordinate with technicians to implement fixes. A valid driver’s license and NFPA knowledge are essential, with NICET certification preferred. Travel up to 40% and a comprehensive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• NICET Certification (Level I+), preferred
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 25, NFPA 72, and local codes
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Backflow Testing certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm and sprinkler systems per NFPA standards and client requirements.
• Identify, document, and report system deficiencies and malfunctions with recommendations for repairs or upgrades.
• Ensure all systems comply with state, federal, and local fire and life safety regulations.
• Communicate inspection results to clients and advise on maintenance or corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports with test results and required actions.
• Collaborate with service technicians to address issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulatory changes.
• Assist in maintaining knowledge of manufacturers, models, and system functionality.
• Follow safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
