Job summary

Western States Fire Protection Company in the United States seeks a Fire Alarm Inspection Technician to test and inspect fire alarm and sprinkler systems and perform preventative maintenance, providing detailed reports on conditions and improvements. The role requires a minimum of five years’ experience as a fire alarm technician, NSFM F Card, NFPA code knowledge, and a valid driver’s license.

You must pass drug, background, and reference checks and be able to lift up to 50 lbs; nights/weekends

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a fire alarm technician.
• NSFM F Card.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA codes.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Pass drug screen, background check and reference check.
• Proficient in documenting inspections with required programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, testing, services and preventative maintenance of life safety and fire suppression equipment.
• Handle low voltage wiring and devices for the operation of low voltage equipment.
• Work with minimal supervision during inspections.
• Communicate project status with Project Manager and Schedule Coordinator.
• Ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to client; assist with billing.
• Train apprentices on company procedures and reporting.
