Job summary

Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing facility in New Albany, Ohio, and seeks a Life Safety Systems CSU Engineer to oversee commissioning, startup, testing, and turnover activities across multiple life safety disciplines.

The role requires strong technical expertise, safety commitment, and excellent communication to coordinate with engineering, construction, vendors, AHJs, and operations teams to ensure safe, compliant, and documented system readiness.

Qualifications

Requires bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and 5–8 years of experience in mission critical facilities, or 9–12 years of related work experience.
Strong knowledge of Life Safety Codes and Standards and control system integration.
Ability to read P&IDs, One-line diagrams, and control schematics.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute commissioning and startup plans for Life Safety Systems.
Prepare commissioning procedures, test scripts, integrated testing plans, and acceptance criteria.
Review project specifications, drawings, and vendor documentation.
Lead functional and integrated testing of Life Safety Systems (Fire Alarm, Detection, Suppression, EVC, GAS, Smoke Control).
Witness FATs and SATs and support turnover to operations.
