Job summary

Bechtel is leading the commissioning and startup of a semiconductor manufacturing facility in New Albany, Ohio. The Lead I&C CSU Engineer will guide instrumentation, controls, PLCs, SCADA/BMS, and process monitoring systems from construction completion through operational readiness and handover to the client.

The role interfaces with Engineering, Construction, Quality, Vendors, Operations, and Client stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient startup activities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of industrial construction, commissioning, startup, or project delivery.
• 5+ years managing completions, turnover, commissioning, or construction teams.
• Experience on large-scale semiconductor, data center, or process facilities.
• Experience with EPC contractors and turnover documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise I&C commissioning engineers and specialists.
• Develop commissioning strategies to support turnover and startup milestones.
• Coordinate activities between construction, systems completion, startup, operations and vendors.
• Verify installation, calibration, and operation of control systems and instrumentation.
• Coordinate FATs, SATs, and vendor startup support.
• Maintain commissioning records and turnover documentation.
