Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of billing, remittance, AR and reconciliation.
• Experience interpreting financial and operational reports to support billing accuracy and process improvements.
• Knowledge of internal controls and audit requirements associated with billing and financial operations.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing account balances, billing transactions, reconciliations and journal entry support documentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee billing and remittance processes to ensure accurate and timely invoicing, payment application and reconciliation activities.
• Review billing transactions for accuracy, completeness and compliance with established procedures and service level expectations.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, payment variances, outstanding balances, and complex customer account issues.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to address billing inquiries and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Monitor billing workflows and key performance indicators to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end billing activities, ensuring all transactions are processed and reconciled appropriately.
• Ensure compliance with departmental controls, audit requirements and company policies related to billing and financial transactions.
• Assist with testing, implementation and process enhancements related to billing systems and procedures.
