Job summary
AmeriLife, headquartered in Alabama, seeks an Underwriting Assistant to support the medical and loan underwriting teams. You will gather requirements for underwriting, review for completeness, and submit to carriers and lenders for offers.
You will track exams and APS requests, update Salesforce Chatter, and ensure timely completion. Responsibilities include supporting the case manager with carrier applications, maintaining underwriting files, drafting letters, and assisting with policy
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of life insurance underwriting support experience.
- Proficiency with data entry and policy administration applications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Salesforce and SharePoint preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support the case manager in completing carrier applications and follow up.
- Monitor each case during underwriting and escalate issues as needed.
- Work with carriers to issue policies and track progress.
- Draft informal and formal underwriting letters.
- Maintain organized underwriting files and update Salesforce Chatter.
- Provide administrative support to the Case Manager and underwriting team.
- Meet productivity and quality standards.
