Job summary

AmeriLife is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to support the medical and loan underwriting teams and assist with the lifecycle of life insurance policies. You will gather requirements, review for completeness, and coordinate with carriers and lenders to move cases forward.

Responsibilities include drafting letters, maintaining underwriting files, and handling routine service requests. A strong emphasis on accuracy, productivity, and customer service is required.

Qualifications

• Three years of life insurance underwriting support experience in an agency or carrier environment.
• Proficiency with data entry and policy administration applications.
• Experience with Salesforce and SharePoint is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide underwriting support to the Case Manager and complete carrier applications.
• Monitor cases through underwriting and communicate timelines to the team.
• Work with carriers to issue policies.
• Download application kits and populate information for Case Manager review.
• Draft informal and formal cover letters for Case Manager review.
• Assist clients with routine policy service requests and annual policy reviews.
