Job summary

You should have solid communication skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office, and a high school diploma or GED; a Bachelor's degree is a plus. Licensing in Life & Health is valued.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Grow new business by generating a prospective customer base and advertise insurance products via networking, referrals, cold calling, and other marketing strategies
• Onboard incoming and retain existing clients via appointment bookings and responding to inquiries regarding billing, coverage, and policies
• Evaluate customers’ insurance needs and goals to tailor effective coverage recommendations
• Manage electronic and paper records and ensure contracting paperwork is kept current
• Assist policyholders with the claims process and monitor ongoing claims progress
• Stay current with insurance industry regulations and licensing requirements

Responsibilities

• Grow new business by generating a prospective customer base and advertise our insurance products via networking, asking for referrals, cold calling, and other marketing strategies
• Onboard incoming and retain existing clients via a variety of customer service tasks, such as appointment booking, and responding to inquiries regarding billing, coverage, eligibility, and insurance policies
• Evaluate new customers’ insurance needs, insurance risk, existing coverage, long-term goals, and financial status through consultations to create a tailored experience that exceeds expectations
• Manage electronic and paper records and ensure all contracting paperwork is kept current
• Aid policyholders with the insurance claims process while supervising the progress of current insurance claims
• Stay abreast of insurance industry protocols and policy changes to ensure fulfillment of all policy requirements, continuing education, and monitor insurance portfolios to ensure mutual satisfaction
• Attend training and obtain relevant licenses in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Previous health insurance or life insurance experience a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite
• Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED; a Bachelor’s degree is a plus
• Current Life & Health insurance license is greatly valued
