Job summary

GateWay at River City is seeking a Life Enrichment Coordinator to foster engaging programming for adults with disabilities and enrich daily life within the community.

The role includes organizing move-in experiences, designing activities around resident interests, and coordinating a monthly wellness calendar while collaborating with departments to showcase residents’ experiences to families and prospects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two or more years of experience working with disabled adults.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and proof of automobile insurance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with others for a common goal.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to adapt schedule to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and web proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Organizes move-in day experience for new residents and families and monitors transition to community lifestyle.
• Actively identifies residents’ interests to design engaging programming.
• Seeks feedback and facilitates the resident satisfaction survey process.
• Ensures the Resident Council meets monthly, minutes posted; attends by invitation.
• Maintains inviting, safe, and appropriate aesthetics in life enrichment areas.
• Plans, creates, and executes a monthly wellness-focused calendar.
• Works with sales/marketing to promote resident experiences.
• Creates monthly activity newsletters for residents and families.
• Maintains the community store and manages supplies for activities.
• Manages transportation for residents to appointments and events, and contributes to budget planning.

We are looking for a Life Enrichment Coordinator to join our team at GateWay at River City. GateWay at River City is an affordable supportive living community serving adults 22 to 64 with physical disabilities. You will provide engaging programming to support the social and recreational needs of our residents. You will bring your talents to enrich the lives of adults with a physical disability.

What you’ll be doing:

• Organizes, communicates, and facilitates move-in day experience for new residents and families as well as monitors and encourages resident transition into community lifestyle
• Actively identifies resident’s interests and preferences to design engaging programming
• Actively seeks feedback on ways to improve the resident experience; including facilitating the resident satisfaction survey process
• Ensures the Resident Council meets monthly, minutes are taken and posted; as well as attend upon invitation
• Ensures aesthetics of all life enrichment community areas are inviting, safe and appropriate for residents and families
• Plans, creates and executes a monthly calendar that infuses core values and incorporates the dimensions of wellness and community calendar event standards
• Works closely with sales and marketing to plan & promote prospect experiences at the community
• Creates monthly newsletter promoting activities and distribute to residents and families
• Contributes to the community Facebook page through uploading posts
• Orders, secures, and maintains supplies for activities
• Provides input into the life enrichment budget, implements and controls the expenses, and submits monthly expense report
• Manages and oversees the General Store per policy
• Facilitates community van transportation for residents to appointments and events
