Job summary

Silver Birch Living at GateWay at River City in Peoria, IL seeks a Life Enrichment Coordinator to design and lead engaging programs for residents with disabilities. You will plan activities, coordinate calendars, and help create a welcoming community environment that supports wellness and social connection.

Responsibilities

• Organizes, communicates, and facilitates move-in day experience for new residents and families as well as monitors and encourages resident transition into community lifestyle.
• Actively identifies resident’s interests and preferences to design engaging programming.
• Actively seeks feedback on ways to improve the resident experience; including facilitating the resident satisfaction survey process.
• Ensures the Resident Council meets monthly, minutes are taken and posted; as well as attend upon invitation.
• Ensures aesthetics of all life enrichment community areas are inviting, safe and appropriate for residents and families.
• Plans, creates and executes a monthly calendar that infuses core values and incorporates the dimensions of wellness and community calendar event standards.
• Works closely with sales and marketing to plan & promote prospect experiences at the community.
• Creates monthly newsletter promoting activities and distribute to residents and families.
• Contributes to the community Facebook page through uploading posts.
• Orders, secures, and maintains supplies for activities.
• Provides input into the life enrichment budget, implements and controls the expenses, and submits monthly expense report.
• Manages and oversees the General Store per policy.
• Facilitates community van transportation for residents to appointments and events
