Holland Farms Senior Living is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to create engaging daily activities for residents in Norwalk, IA. You will plan events, lead crafts, and build meaningful relationships to keep residents connected and happy, working within the Agemark Senior Living family.

We value creativity, compassion, and strong communication. The role may involve driving a passenger vehicle and flexible hours to cover evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior living or activities preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creative thinker with ability to lead group activities.
• Must be 21+ with a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead engaging daily activities, events, games, crafts, exercise programs, and celebrations.
• Create monthly activity calendars to encourage participation.
• Build meaningful resident relationships while promoting socialization and independence.
• Encourage participation using creativity and person-centered approaches.
• Coordinate holiday celebrations, events, outings, and entertainment.
• Maintain activity supplies and spaces to stay organized and welcoming.
• Transport residents to appointments and events as needed.
• Partner with families, volunteers and local groups to create memories.

What You'll Do

• Plan and lead engaging daily activities, events, games, crafts, exercise programs, and special celebrations.
• Create monthly activity calendars that encourage participation and enrich residents' lives.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents while promoting socialization, independence, and purpose.
• Encourage participation using creativity, compassion, and person-centered approaches.
• Coordinate holiday celebrations, community events, entertainment, and outings.
• Maintain activity supplies, equipment, and common areas to ensure they're organized and welcoming.
• Transport residents to appointments, outings, and community events as needed.
• Partner with families, volunteers, and local organizations to create memorable experiences.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in senior living, activities, recreation, or customer service is preferred.
• A positive, outgoing personality with a passion for working with older adults.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creative thinking and the ability to lead engaging group activities.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and willingness to drive a passenger van.
• Ability to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
