Job summary

Holland Farms Senior Living in Norwalk, IA is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to plan and lead engaging daily activities and events that keep residents engaged and connected.

You will collaborate with families and volunteers, create monthly calendars, and support broader social goals while working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior living, activities, recreation, or customer service preferred.
• Positive, outgoing personality with a passion for working with older adults.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creative thinker who can lead engaging group activities.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and willingness to drive a passenger van.
• Ability to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead engaging daily activities, events, games, crafts, exercise programs, and special celebrations.
• Create monthly activity calendars that encourage participation and enrich residents' lives.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents while promoting socialization, independence, and purpose.
• Encourage participation using creativity, compassion, and person-centered approaches.
• Coordinate holiday celebrations, community events, entertainment, and outings.
• Maintain activity supplies, equipment, and common areas to keep them organized and welcoming.
• Transport residents to appointments, outings, and community events as needed.
• Partner with families, volunteers, and local organizations to create memorable experiences.
