Job summary

Legacy House of Park Lane, operated by Western States Lodging and Management, is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to create engaging, meaningful experiences for residents.

You will assist the Recreation Director with planning, organizing, and executing a variety of social, cultural, and religious activities, developing monthly calendars and newsletters, and helping lead events. Occasional driving and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

  • 0–1 year of experience in life enrichment, recreation, activities, senior living, hospitality, customer service, or related field preferred.
  • Current CPR certification required depending on the state.
  • Genuine interest in working with and caring for seniors and/or individuals with disabilities.
  • Positive, patient, dependable, and compassionate approach to working with residents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, stoop, sit, and reach.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in and lead activities such as games, crafts, outings, and social events.
  • Set up, supervise, and clean activity areas before and after events.
  • Provide encouragement and support to residents while promoting safety, inclusion, and enjoyment.
  • Manage activity supplies and equipment and ensure materials are available.
  • Assist with scheduling resident outings and transportation when needed, including occasional driving.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, visitors, and fellow associates.
  • Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.

What You’ll Do

What Makes You Successful

  • 0–1 year of experience in life enrichment, recreation, activities, senior living, hospitality, customer service, or a related field preferred.
  • Current CPR certification required depending on the state.
