Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Virginia Beach, VA, is seeking a Life Enrichment Activities Assistant to support the Life Enrichment Director in designing and implementing engaging programs for Independent Living and Assisted Living neighborhoods.

The role involves creating a monthly activity calendar, leading 6–7 programs per day, surveying residents for interests, coordinating with the team, and developing volunteer opportunities. Flexible scheduling and Saturday work are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years experience in planning and leading activities.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift to 50 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develops monthly activities programs aligned with wellness dimensions and Harmony programs.
• Leads 6–7 high quality programs per day.
• Surveys residents to identify interests and satisfaction with activities.
• Coordinates with the program team to plan calendars, events, and outings for the month.
• Builds relationships with residents and families to encourage participation.
• Recruits and oversees a robust volunteer program.
• Organizes and posts notices and posters to promote programs.
