Savant Senior Living, LLC. in Woodland, CA is seeking an Activities Assistant to plan and facilitate engaging programs for residents in our assisted living community.

You will work with the Activities Director to create monthly calendars and lead a variety of activities that support social, cultural, and recreational well‑being. Qualifications include being at least 18, completing health screening and clearances, and CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Required Health Screening, TB Clearance, and Criminal Record Clearance.
• First Aid/ CPR Certification.
• Special licenses, certifications per California Code of Regulations Sections:85065(f)/87411(g).
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in Recreation or related field are a plus.
• Experience in a similar role, preferably in assisted living or senior care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordination, and implementation of activities and programs for residents.
• Engage residents in recreational, social, cultural, and educational activities.
• Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop monthly activity calendars.
• Set up activity areas and gather supplies for each activity.
• Guide residents during activities to ensure safety and engagement.
• Encourage participation and adapt programs for varying abilities.
• Maintain records of participation and provide feedback on engagement.
• Escort residents to/from activities and support transportation needs.
• Assist in decorating common areas for seasonal events.
• Support resident involvement in community outings and off-site activities.
• Follow safety and infection control protocols during activities.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Recreation/Therapeutic Recreation related education (preferred)
