Job summary

Atria Senior Living in East Northport, NY is hiring an Engage Life Program Instructor to lead resident engagement activities and create meaningful recreation programs. You will coordinate events, greet new residents, and help plan community celebrations, contributing to a positive living environment.

The role emphasizes interactive programming, supervision, and strong communication with residents and staff to enhance quality of life.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3–6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent.
• Able to write simple correspondence and present information in one-on-one or small group settings.

Responsibilities

• Leads assigned Engage Life programs.
• Offers adequate and diversified recreational activities with supervision.
• Develops programs for residents, including those confined to rooms.
• Engages and motivates residents resulting in program participation.
• Informs residents of upcoming activities and maintains a current schedule.
• Greets new residents and integrates them with others with similar interests.
• Assists in planning parties/activities and decorating the community seasonally.
• Supports census building initiatives and maintains activity records.
