Job summary

Transamerica in Denver is seeking a Tax Operations professional to support tax and regulatory functions within life and annuity processing. You will research complex transactions, gather data from multiple systems, interpret tax regulations, and lead resolutions for production issues or customer escalations while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The role requires strong communication, detail orientation, and the ability to work under pressure in a hybrid in-office schedule (Tuesdays, Wednesdays

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years with annuities, insurance or financial services.

Responsibilities

• Research complex transactions in relationship to the daily monitoring of policyholder processing.
• Comprehensive knowledge of processes and systems used for administration of tax regulations related to annuities; able to gather data from multiple administrative support systems, interpret, trouble shoot and answer business unit questions related to product taxation and reporting.
• Lead team in problem resolutions that arise due to production system problems or customer escalations
• Interpret tax law changes and identify a course of action for the various departments affected with changes in law as it relates to taxation of annuities and life products.
• Maintain and support records for functions not system supported pertaining to tax law including but not limited to aggregation, cost basis manual updates, foreign reporting, and withholding
• Serve as the lead for product enhancement initiatives impacting Information Reporting and Withholding, ensuring comprehensive testing is planned, coordinated, and executed, including validation of results to support accurate, compliant, and well-controlled implementations.
• Support management and department through implementing and monitoring individual and team objectives/goals while ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Provide feedback and documentation for team members regarding performance, including production and quality to meet/exceed departmental objectives. Working with management to mentor and provide feedback to team members to ensure correct handling and customer satisfaction.
• Other duties as assigned based on divisional needs
