Job summary

Group 1001 is seeking an experienced Annuity Operations Lead to oversee the annuity tax reporting lifecycle in partnership with our external reporting partner. The role drives accurate tax withholding, reconciliation, and corrective actions across IRS and state requirements.

The ideal candidate has extensive annuity operations experience, strong analytical skills, and a proven ability to translate regulatory changes into process improvements and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin, or related field.
• Extensive experience in annuity operations or tax reporting operations.
• Strong knowledge of IRS reporting requirements and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience partnering with external tax reporting providers and internal functions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end execution of the client annuity tax reporting lifecycle with external partner.
• Review quarterly federal and state tax withholding reconciliation results and address discrepancies.
• Research variances and coordinate corrective processing and payments.
• Provide operational oversight of tax-related processing and distribution coding.
• Coordinate corrective processing and payment disbursements to resolve discrepancies.
• Assess impact of IRS/regulatory changes and operationalize updates.
• Provide operational requirements for tax initiatives and ensure operational accuracy.
• Collaborate with BA, UAT, IT, Accounting Ops, Law, and Tax for readiness and execution.
