Job summary

The Ward Law Group, a leading Florida personal injury firm, seeks a Lien Resolution Team Lead to supervise reductions and lien specialists, driving client-centered outcomes and significant savings. You will manage complex cases, negotiate with providers, and own performance metrics to maximize net recoveries.

Qualifications include 4+ years in lien resolution, leadership of 5+ staff, and strong knowledge of Medicare/AHCA rules.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of experience in medical lien resolution, reductions, or settlement negotiation.
• Minimum of 5 people managed in past roles.
• Demonstrated track record of negotiating meaningful reductions on medical balances and liens.
• Working knowledge of Medicare Secondary Payer rules and the AHCA lien process.
• Familiarity with Florida PIP and the collateral source framework.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to be firm with providers and plainspoken with clients.
• Proficiency with legal case management software and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Post-settlement medical bill and liens.
• Lead the team: supervise, train, and evaluate a team of reductions and lien resolution specialists.
• Own the numbers: track reduction percentage, dollars saved, aging, and settlement-to-disbursement turnaround.
• Negotiate the hard files: high-balance reductions where providers won’t move.
• Resolve statutory and plan liens: Medicare, AHCA, ERISA, TRICARE, VA.
• Manage letter of protection balances with providers.
• Apply the collateral source framework to determine reimbursement exposure.
• Build provider relationships and standing reduction arrangements.
• Partner with attorneys to provide lien exposure figures.
• Protect the client experience: ensure accurate, prompt disbursement and clear client understanding.
• Improve the process: standardize templates and workflow; assist system improvements.
• Maintain compliance with trust accounting and Florida Bar requirements.
