Job summary

EvenUp is seeking an experienced lien resolution leader to build and run our lien negotiation function. You will own the process of identifying, validating, negotiating, and resolving medical liens and subrogation claims to maximize net recoveries.

Lead a team of negotiators and collaborate with attorneys, case managers, and finance for timely disbursements. You will set strategy for high-value liens, ensure compliance with Medicare/Medicaid rules, and drive standardized workflows, reporting,

Qualifications

• 7+ years of lien resolution, subrogation, or settlement negotiation in PI environments.
• 3+ years of leading a team and managing staff.
• Proven record of significant lien reductions across lien types.
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid recovery, ERISA, and state lien laws.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with case management software and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate reductions on medical liens, hospital liens, ERISA plans, Medicare/Medicaid, and subrogation liens.
• Lead a team of lien negotiators; hire, train, and mentor staff; set goals and track metrics.
• Develop and refine reduction strategies by lien type, law, and case value.
• Partner with attorneys to factor lien exposure into settlement strategies.
• Oversee lien identification, verification, and documentation; ensure compliance.
• Report department performance and risk to firm leadership.
