Job summary

Harmony Care Services LLC in Pittsburgh seeks a Team Lead for our Residential Services (HCS Program). You will support clients and staff across multiple sites, ensure safety, quality care, and compliance, and help with daily operations in the field.

Responsibilities include coordinating transport, overseeing site readiness, training staff, and covering shifts. A strong leader with excellent communication and organization is essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass background checks and meet state requirements.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong leadership and team support abilities.
  • Ability to train, coach, and support new and existing staff.
  • Preferred: experience with IDD/DSP or residential/human services.
  • Preferred: CPR certification and Medication Administration training.

Responsibilities

  • Support clients in the community by providing transportation to day programs, activities, and appointments, including medical visits.
  • Assist with day-to-day operations by completing tasks directed by leadership, including transporting paperwork and supporting administrative needs between sites and the office.
  • Ensure sites are fully stocked and operational by picking up and delivering supplies as needed.
  • Provide shift coverage when needed due to call-offs or staffing gaps and participate in on-call responsibilities.
  • Complete medication passes when required, following all compliance standards.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized environments inside and outside sites.
  • Conduct daily site checks to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance.
  • Complete the HCS Residential Site Checklist weekly for each assigned site.
  • Implement training of new staff to develop skills and competencies for the role.
  • Foster a positive work culture that promotes teamwork, accountability, and engagement.

Team Lead – Residential Services (HCS Program)

We are seeking a motivated, reliable, and hands‑on Team Lead to support our residential program. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in the field, supporting both clients and staff, and ensuring that homes operate safely, smoothly, and in compliance with standards. The Team Lead plays a key role in maintaining quality care, supporting daily operations, keeping sites organized, developing staff, and being a strong presence across multiple residential sites.

What You’ll Do
  • Support clients in the community by providing transportation to day programs, activities, and appointments, including medical visits ranging from routine care to urgent or emergency situations.
  • Assist with day‑to‑day operations by completing tasks as directed by leadership, including transporting paperwork and supporting administrative needs between sites and the office. Must be comfortable using technology, including mobile apps and digital tools, as part of daily responsibilities.
  • Ensure sites are fully stocked and operational by picking up and delivering supplies from stores or the office as needed.
  • Provide shift coverage when needed due to call‑offs or staffing gaps and participate in on‑call responsibilities. Flexibility and willingness to step in where needed are essential.
  • Complete medication passes when required, including supporting sites with new or temporary staff who are not yet medication trained, while following all compliance standards.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized environments both inside and outside of residential sites. This includes assisting with cleaning, organizing, and general upkeep.
  • Conduct daily checks of key areas within assigned sites to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance. Address concerns promptly or elevate when needed.
  • Complete the HCS Residential Site Checklist once per week for each assigned site
  • Implement training of new staff to develop skills and competencies required for the role.
  • Foster a positive work culture that promotes teamwork, accountability, employee engagement, and job satisfaction.
What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass required background checks and meet state requirements
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Strong leadership and team support abilities
  • Ability to train, coach, and support new and existing staff
Preferred but Not Required
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), autism, or other developmental disabilities
  • Previous experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)
  • Experience in residential or human services settings
  • Current CPR certification
  • Medication Administration certification or training
Additional Requirements

Current physical exam and TB test (or ability to obtain upon hire)

Highly Desired Skills (Not Required)
  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Experience supporting individuals who are Deaf or hard of hearing
Work Environment

This is a field‑based role that requires travel between multiple residential sites and community locations. The position requires flexibility, including evenings, weekends, and participation in an on‑call rotation.
