Job summary

Department of Licensing (DOL) in Washington State seeks a Licensing Services Representative (LSR2) for the East Vancouver Driver Licensing Office. In-person, Monday–Friday, you will issue licenses and IDs, perform reviews, collect fees, and support applicants with courtesy and accuracy.

The role emphasizes customer service excellence, adherence to policies, and clear decision making, with travel to other offices as needed. Training will prepare you to handle enhanced licenses and IDs.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship.
• Valid WA driver license with five years driving experience; license unrestricted or ability to obtain.
• Two years of direct customer service experience serving the general public.
• One year of experience using electronic systems and forms to input data and navigate screens.
• Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute.
• Commitment to agency values of respect, trust, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Willingness to travel to other offices; some overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Verify authenticity of documents and issue licenses/IDs in compliance with laws.
• Perform final review of enhanced driver license applications to determine eligibility.
• Collect DOL licensing fees.
• Approve or deny enhanced applications and issue EDL/EID to eligible applicants.
• Assess customer qualifications for licensing issuance.
• Travel to other offices and training; may require overnight travel.
• Conduct driving skills tests in applicant's vehicle.
