Job summary

State of Washington's Department of Licensing is seeking a Licensing Services Representative (LSR2) in Spokane to join our Driver Licensing Office team. This in-person role focuses on accurate document verification, customer service, and issuing licenses, enhanced licenses, and ID cards after training.

You'll handle sensitive information, follow current policies, travel between offices, and contribute to a culture of inclusion while delivering excellent public service to Washington residents.

Qualifications

• Citizenship in the U.S. is required.
• WA driver license with five years of licensed driving; license must have no major restrictions.
• Two years of direct customer service experience serving the public.
• One year of experience using electronic systems and form templates.
• Typing speed of 30 words per minute or greater.
• Commitment to agency values of respect, trust, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Verify authenticity of documents, evaluate information, and issue licenses/IDs following laws and procedures.
• Perform final review of enhanced licenses and IDs applications to determine eligibility.
• Collect licensing fees.
• Approve or deny enhanced applications and issue EDL/EID to eligible applicants.
• Use sound judgement to assess customer qualifications for licensing issuance.
• Travel, including relief to other offices and training; overnight may be required.
• Conduct driving skills tests in the applicant's vehicle to assess driving skills.
