Job summary

Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is seeking a Licensing & Registration Specialist to process, review, and determine applications for registrations, permits, and licenses under the Virginia Solicitation of Contributions Law.

Onboarded staff may be eligible for telework; availability and hours will be approved under the Commonwealth telework policy. Final duties include resolving related complaints and applying policy consistently.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to interpret and apply statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Strong customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with office software and handling regulatory processes.

Responsibilities

• Process, review and determine issuance or renewal of registrations, permits, and licenses.
• Answer questions from regulants and the public and apply departmental policies.
• Possibility of telework opportunities; telework schedule to be approved per policy.
