The Iowa Department of Inspections, Appeals, and Licensing (DIAL) seeks a Licensure Supervisor (Public Service Manager 1) to lead the licensing lifecycle for multiple professional groups from the Des Moines central office.

Responsibilities include applying Iowa Code and rules, overseeing licensing teams, and driving quality improvements with Lean strategies. The role emphasizes regulation, data integrity, and inter-agency coordination.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university and experience equal to four years of full-time work in program administration, development, management, or operations.
• Eight years of full-time work experience in program administration, development, management, or operations.
• Two years of full-time work experience in program administration, development, management, or operations, plus additional education/experience combinations as described.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end licensing lifecycle for multiple professional groups, ensuring all applicants meet statutory requirements for entry into their fields.
• Spearhead quality improvement initiatives and Lean strategies to streamline workflows and modernize service delivery.
• Manage high-level database administration and monitor bureau expenditures to ensure cost-effective operations.
