Overview
ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Licensing Engineer II will provide regulatory and technical support for licensing and compliance activities, collaborating with engineering teams, vendors, regulators, and industry stakeholders. Responsibilities include evaluating regulatory requirements, supporting environmental and licensing processes, and helping resolve compliance issues. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in engineering, strong communication and Microsoft Office skills, and experience working in a regulated nuclear environment. Prior experience with license renewal programs, regulatory reviews, or aging management initiatives is preferred. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.
Pay rate: $43.95 - $64.55

Responsibilities
- Provide regulatory and technical support for licensing, compliance, and environmental initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, plant organizations, vendors, industry peers, and regulatory agencies.
- Identify, evaluate, and help resolve nuclear safety, licensing, and regulatory issues.
- Support management by providing recommendations related to regulatory and environmental project performance.
- Represent the organization in interactions with regulators, industry work groups, workshops, and conferences.
- Assist with environmental reviews, including field and onsite visits when required.
- Work with licensing and environmental subject matter experts to address process-related issues.
- Monitor and communicate changes to licensing requirements, environmental regulations, policies, and industry standards.
- Apply engineering principles and established processes to solve routine technical and regulatory challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university and 3+ years of engineering experience in a technical environment, including at least 2 years in a DOE or NRC regulated nuclear environment;
- OR Professional Engineer (PE) license and 5+ years of engineering experience in a technical environment, including at least 2 years in a DOE or NRC regulated nuclear environment.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of general engineering principles, practices, theories, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Ability to apply regulatory and licensing processes with limited supervision.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Experience supporting license renewal efforts for commercial nuclear power plants.
- Experience reviewing license renewal applications.
- Participation in industry committees related to license renewal.
- Experience developing, implementing, auditing, or inspecting aging management programs.
- Work sponsorship is not available at this time.
